50/50 Raffle

Moms and Dads Association 50/50 Raffle Drawing Information

Each year, the Moms and Dads Associations at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign coordinate a scholarship drawing. As of 2015, in order for more people to be eligible to win, the raffle is now a 50/50 split with one person winning half of the pot as cash. The remaining funds will go to student scholarships as the monies raised allows. Cash award is based on the number of tickets sold. Raffle tickets are sold from Moms Weekend in April through Dads Weekend in November of each year.

Cost: 1 ticket for $10.00 or 6 tickets for $50.00

We will send you a photo of your official raffle tickets!  There is also a link below to an image of the blank raffle tickets. If you'd like, you can view and/or print these for your information.

​The Moms and Dads Associations 50/50 Raffle 2018 Official Rules

  • Make checks payable to Moms and Dads Associations.  Your cancelled check will serve as your receipt. 
  • Mail tickets to: Moms and Dads Associations, P.O. Box 1025, Urbana, IL 61803-1025
  • All tickets must be received by 12:00 Noon on Sunday, November 4, 2018.
  • Ticket purchasers, winners, or their designees, must be 18 years of age or older, as of April 13, 2018.
  • Ticket stubs that are ordered/printed from the website order form are acceptable.
  • Ticket stubs will not be accepted by fax or email.
  • Moms and Dads Associations are not responsible for late, lost, or misdirected mail.
  • Members of the Board of Directors of the Moms and Dads Associations and their immediate families are not eligible to participate in the raffle.
  • Employees of the Illini Union Parent and Family Programs Office and their families are not eligible to participate in the raffle.
  • The winner will receive 50% of the net proceeds of the raffle ticket sales up to a maximum of $25,000.00.  Net proceeds consist of the total collected from ticket sales less the costs of advertising and other expenses. 
  • The remaining 50% of the net proceeds of the raffle ticket sales shall be used by the Moms and Dads Associations for scholarships for students enrolled at the University of Illinois.
  • The criteria for and the number and amount of scholarships shall be determined by the Board of Directors of the Moms and Dads Association of the University of Illinois, in their sole discretion.
  • Entrants must be residents of the USA.
  • Taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner to whom an IRS form W-2G will be issued.   
  • Void where prohibited by law.
  • Odds of winning depend on the number of raffle tickets sold.
  • The winner’s name will be posted on the Illini Union Parent and Family Programs Office website and the Moms and Dads Associations websites by November 18, 2018.
  • By participating in the raffle, you are agreeing to your inclusion, including name and likeness, in promotion and publicity surrounding the raffle and its contributions to the University of Illinois should you win. 
  • RAFFLE PERMIT No. 2018-R-003.  

All proceeds benefit Moms and Dads Associations' Projects and Scholarships and are strictly 
​used to benefit students and families at the University of Illinois.

The drawing was held at ​the Illini Union at 12:00 Noon on Sunday, November 12, 2017. Congratulations to William Baird from Des Plaines, Illinois! ​William won $4,020.00!

Option 1: Buy tickets from a Moms Association member! Look for us at campus events (including Moms Weekend, Summer Registration Days, Homecoming and Dad's Weekend)!
